At Bumper Rescue, we’re now offering specialist motorcycle paintwork repairs from our SMART repair bodyshop in Middlewich, Cheshire.

From scratched panniers and scuffed fairings to dented fuel tanks and damaged paintwork, we carry out high-quality cosmetic motorcycle repairs with the same attention to detail that has built our reputation in automotive paint repairs.
Whether you ride a daily commuter, touring bike, sports bike or rare enthusiast motorcycle, we understand how important the finish, originality and colour match are to owners.
Motorcycle paintwork repairs are a specialist area and, unlike car body repairs, there are relatively few businesses willing to take them on properly. Finding somebody with genuine experience, patience and the attention to detail required is even harder.

That’s where Matt stands out.
As Bumper Rescue’s workshop manager and painter — and a biker himself — he genuinely understands how important these machines are to their owners. From rare fuel tanks and original decals through to colour-coded panniers and fairings, Matt takes huge pride in creating finishes that look factory-correct and often exceed expectations.
He simply loves bringing damaged motorcycle paintwork back to life and creating masterpieces like these.
Using professional bodyshop equipment and SMART repair techniques, Matt has recently restored multiple motorcycle components including Honda VFR800 panniers and top boxes finished in Glory Red, alongside repairs to a rare Kawasaki ZX7R fuel tank in Kawasaki Verde Lime Green.
From deep scratches and paint damage through to dents and cosmetic scuffs, every repair is approached with patience, precision and attention to detail.
Common Motorcycle Repairs We Carry Out

These Honda VFR800 panniers and top box arrived with multiple scratches, scuffs and paint damage across several panels.
Using SMART repair techniques and professional refinishing methods, the damaged areas were repaired and refinished in Honda Glory Red, replicating the deep factory finish while avoiding unnecessary replacement parts.
The final result brought the luggage back to an excellent standard with seamless colour matching and a high-gloss finish.
One of the most rewarding recent projects involved a rare Kawasaki ZX7R fuel tank finished in Kawasaki Verde Lime Green.
The tank had suffered a deep dent and significant paint damage. Preserving the original decals and factory appearance was incredibly important due to the rarity and cost of replacement graphics.
Following extensive repair work, refinishing and specialist colour matching, the damaged area was restored while maintaining the bike’s original appearance.
“I couldn’t be more impressed with the repair work done on my 1996 Kawasaki motorcycle tank. What I thought was beyond saving — badly dented and heading for the scrap pile — has been restored to its original condition with incredible skill and attention to detail.
The colour matching on the repaired area is absolutely spot on, you genuinely cannot tell where the damage once was. The finish blends seamlessly with the existing paint, maintaining the bike’s authentic, vintage look.
What makes this even more impressive is the turnaround time; the entire job was completed within a week, far exceeding my expectations.”
